Penny is a local Melbournite and grew up in the South-eastern Suburbs.

She completed her undergraduate and post graduate double law degree of Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Laws at Monash University in the 1980’s and received early admission in the Supreme Court of Victoria. Her love of the law saw her complete a Master of Law at Monash University, with an emphasis on Family, Commercial and Employment Law areas, a second Masters of Wills and Estate Law and she is currently completing a Masters of Family Law.

Penny LaGreca

Penny is a local Melbournite and grew up in the South-eastern Suburbs.

She completed her undergraduate and post graduate double law degree of Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Laws at Monash University in the 1980’s and received early admission in the Supreme Court of Victoria. Her love of the law saw her complete a Master of Law at Monash University, with an emphasis on Family, Commercial and Employment Law areas, a second Masters of Wills and Estate Law and she is currently completing a Masters of Family Law.

Penny has spent time in both private practice and in academia. She tutored and lectured at Monash University for 10 years, drafting study materials and assessments for students and worked as a marker for local and overseas students. In private practice Penny has worked across a range of areas including Personal Injuries, Employment, Commercial, Contract, Negligence, Wills and Family Law. This broad range of experience has enabled Penny to be in a prime position to assist clients across all their concerns.

She has a passion for full representation including appearing for clients at court to ensure that someone fully familiar with their case is with them at their hearings. She enjoys helping clients achieve positive results and provides practical and focused advice.

Penny currently practices primarily in family law, including parenting and property matters, mediation, negotiation, children protection and intervention orders. She also practices in Wills and Estates and in commercial matters.

When she is not working Penny enjoys spending time with family, including children and grandchildren, running and watching movies and documentaries about history and bygone eras, classics, the 1800’s, true life stories and educational films and books regarding people and personalities.

Nick Lionakis graduated from Monash University Melbourne in 1990. He completed a double degree in Arts /Law

Nick is a senior solicitor at Pentana Stanton Lawyers with experience in personal injury law in Victoria and Queensland (2006 – 2013).

For more than 20 years Nick has been improving the lives of injured claimants wronged by the actions or inactions of others. Nick is an advocate for social justice and common law solutions for those disadvantaged by injury or an illness.

Nick has local and interstate experience in preparing and presenting statutory claims and common law damages claims in the areas of work, transport accident and public liability injuries and superannuation disability insurance claims.

Veronica Toth

Veronica grew up overseas having lived in Singapore and The Netherlands whilst extensively travelling around Europe and Asia. Upon returning to Australia to attend university she obtained her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics, Juris Doctor and Master of Justice and Criminology.

She is passionate about family law and more specifically matters involving children. Having worked in both the private and the community sector, Veronica has the requisite knowledge and background to deal with highly complex and diverse matters whilst achieving the best outcome for her clients.

Veronica primarily practices in family law, including but not limited to property and children’s matters, mediation, litigation, child protection and intervention orders. Her other areas of practice include youth and adult crime, contracts, and independent children’s work.

In her personal time, Veronica avidly reads true crime books and enjoys listening to podcasts.

David Ng

Bachelor of Laws & Commerce at University of Melbourne.

Masters in Applied Law (Family Law & Commercial Litigation).

David is one of our experienced Senior Lawyers.

He is a keen advocate and has appeared at interim and final hearings and across various jurisdictions such as VCAT, Magistrates Court, Federal Circuit Court, Family Court and Supreme Court.

He is a former editor of the Computers & Law Journal and a member of the Maintenance and Property Committee.

His interests include basketball, martial arts and true crime. He enjoys travelling, dining out, reading, horror movies and spending time with family.

David is originally from Hong Kong and speaks conversational Cantonese.

David has been working with Pentana Stanton Lawyers since April 2020 and works predominantly in Family Law.

Seren Akdogan

Seren has practised exclusively in family law since her admission and assists clients with both parenting and financial matters, as well as family violence and Children’s Court proceedings.

Seren is compassionate and works to reach resolution for her clients and help them navigate through the emotional aspects of family law. Seren’s experience in court appearances gives her the ability to provide detailed legal advice in relation to the legal rules and procedures.

Seren is fluent in Turkish, both written and spoken and can assist clients who prefer communicating in the Turkish language.

In her spare time, Seren enjoys spending time with her family and friends and experimenting with different cultural foods.

Rhiannon Foley

Rhiannon attended Victoria University graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with Leo Cussen Centre for Law.

Rhiannon has worked primarily in the area of family law since her admission. She has experience in advising clients on all areas of family law including divorce, parenting matters, complex property matters and financial agreements. Rhiannon also has experience in advising clients in relation to Children’s Court matters, Wills, and both Personal Safety and Family Violence Intervention Order matters.

Rhiannon is focussed on assisting clients to achieve a desirable and fair outcome without the need for ongoing litigation. She has great empathy for her clients and will take the time to listen to them and carefully formulate advice, offering a practical and cost-effective approach to resolving disputes.

In her spare time, Rhiannon enjoys the challenge of renovating houses. She otherwise loves to read Stephen King novels and spend time playing with her two staffy’s, Buddy and Kora.

Durra Baraz

Durra first started at Pentana Stanton as an intern and then following a successful internship, she joined the team at Pentana permanently and now works as a Solicitor.

Primarily working in Family Law, being a mother of three allows Durra to relate and empathise well with clients to achieve better outcomes.

Work History
Prior to commencing her career in Law, Durra worked as a Human Resources Officer which provided her with an extensive knowledge of the National Employment Standards and Fair Work Act. Furthermore, during Durra’s time in HR allowed her to refine her skills in mediation and dispute resolution.

Languages
Durra is fluent in the Arabic Language and is passionate about assisting clients who speak little English and/or are more confident in speaking in the Arabic Language.

Ben’s six year teaching career took him from the suburbs of Melbourne to Central Australia and back. In 2015, Ben began his journey in the legal profession and enrolled to study law.

Ben joined the team at Pentana Stanton Lawyers in October 2018, and was admitted into the Legal Profession on 6 August 2019.

Mahalia Bromfield

Mahalia attended Bond University and completed a Bachelor of Laws Specialising in Contemporary Legal Issues, Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology and Psychological Science. She then completed a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice through Bond University.

Mahalia found her passion for Family Law during University as she wanted to help children and families rebuild after separation as well as focusing on the best interests of the children. She works primarily in the areas of family law and family violence. Her focus is on getting the client’s the best outcomes and ensuring that the Family Law process is not as daunting as it feels.

During her time at Bond University she played AFL for the University and played soccer for Robina City Soccer Club where she played in four Grand Finals winning two. In her free time Mahalia enjoy reading comics, playing AFL at Croydon North MLOC and playing cricket at St. John’s Tecoma. She is a passionate Western Bulldogs supporter and follows NRL, EPL and Cricket closely. At home she is often spending time with her Staffy Lucy and her cat Harry.

Jordyn commenced an internship in our firm in November 2019 and was admitted in the Supreme Court of Victoria as a solicitor in March 2020.

Forooz Faridian

Forooz is a family lawyer at Pentana Stanton Lawyers. She has previous experience as a legal assistant before completing her legal qualifications. Forooz dreamed of becoming a lawyer from childhood. She loves practicing in family law and enjoys helping people in a time of emotional distress to make sense of the legal process.

Forooz comes from Iranian background and speaks Persian. When not working Forooz enjoys reading Persian novels, dancing and watching Bollywood movies!

Ben Vincent

Ben practises in all family related matters; the majority of which revolve around parenting arrangements and property division in the Family Court, however, he has also practiced in the Childrens Court in relation to childrens matters and Magistrates court in relation to criminal matters.
Ben holds a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University and still feels that family law is an area of the law where a lawyer can actually do some good. He has two children of his own, being 4 and 8 years of age, and is always empathetic towards his clients no matter how difficult a situation they may find themselves in.
Ben spent some of his working life in Montreal Canada where he developed a keen interest in hiking, skiing and mountain climbing. He is fascinated with the crypto currency/blockchain space in which he has a wealth of knowledge, and which is area becoming more and more relevant in property disputes.

Amy works as part of our efficient team of Legal Assistants and has done so since completing her Bachelor of Criminal Justice in 2019.

Amy has assisted our solicitors with a diverse variety of legal files and always looks forward to broadening her knowledge wherever she can.

Amy is intrigued by most legal areas and thoroughly enjoys working with our solicitors on all tasks thrown her way, most particularly those involving Family Law Matters, Intervention Orders and Commercial Litigation.

Nida Azad

Nida works is a Legal Assistant of the Pentana Stanton team. Prior to joining Pentana Nida studied a Bachelor of Accounting and worked in accounting for a short while before realising that she needed to change the direction of her career.

She commenced with Pentana Stanton Lawyers in October 2019, discovered an unexpected enjoyment in working in the legal arena and has never looked back. She is currently undertaking an Associate Degree in Legal Practice from RMIT University to support her career progression and passion as a paralegal.

Nida enjoys working with people, solving difficulties, organising and ensuring good management. She is happy to assist wherever she can.

Being born in Pakistan Nida is multilingual, being fluent in both English and Urdu which she can also read and write proficiently.

Outside of work Nida loves shopping, movies, both Bollywood and Hollywood movies, and spending time with her family, especially her nephew.
