Penny is a local Melbournite and grew up in the South-eastern Suburbs.
She completed her undergraduate and post graduate double law degree of Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Laws at Monash University in the 1980’s and received early admission in the Supreme Court of Victoria. Her love of the law saw her complete a Master of Law at Monash University, with an emphasis on Family, Commercial and Employment Law areas, a second Masters of Wills and Estate Law and she is currently completing a Masters of Family Law.

She tutored and lectured at Monash University for 10 years, drafting study materials and assessments for students and worked as a marker for local and overseas students. In private practice Penny has worked across a range of areas including Personal Injuries, Employment, Commercial, Contract, Negligence, Wills and Family Law. This broad range of experience has enabled Penny to be in a prime position to assist clients across all their concerns.
She has a passion for full representation including appearing for clients at court to ensure that someone fully familiar with their case is with them at their hearings. She enjoys helping clients achieve positive results and provides practical and focused advice.
Penny currently practices primarily in family law, including parenting and property matters, mediation, negotiation, children protection and intervention orders. She also practices in Wills and Estates and in commercial matters.
When she is not working Penny enjoys spending time with family, including children and grandchildren, running and watching movies and documentaries about history and bygone eras, classics, the 1800’s, true life stories and educational films and books regarding people and personalities.

Nick Lionakis graduated from Monash University Melbourne in 1990. He completed a double degree in Arts /Law
Nick is a senior solicitor at Pentana Stanton Lawyers with experience in personal injury law in Victoria and Queensland (2006 – 2013).
For more than 20 years Nick has been improving the lives of injured claimants wronged by the actions or inactions of others. Nick is an advocate for social justice and common law solutions for those disadvantaged by injury or an illness.
Nick has local and interstate experience in preparing and presenting statutory claims and common law damages claims in the areas of work, transport accident and public liability injuries and superannuation disability insurance claims.

She is passionate about family law and more specifically matters involving children. Having worked in both the private and the community sector, Veronica has the requisite knowledge and background to deal with highly complex and diverse matters whilst achieving the best outcome for her clients.
Veronica primarily practices in family law, including but not limited to property and children’s matters, mediation, litigation, child protection and intervention orders. Her other areas of practice include youth and adult crime, contracts, and independent children’s work.
In her personal time, Veronica avidly reads true crime books and enjoys listening to podcasts.

David is one of our experienced Senior Lawyers.
He is a keen advocate and has appeared at interim and final hearings and across various jurisdictions such as VCAT, Magistrates Court, Federal Circuit Court, Family Court and Supreme Court.
He is a former editor of the Computers & Law Journal and a member of the Maintenance and Property Committee.
His interests include basketball, martial arts and true crime. He enjoys travelling, dining out, reading, horror movies and spending time with family.
David is originally from Hong Kong and speaks conversational Cantonese.
David has been working with Pentana Stanton Lawyers since April 2020 and works predominantly in Family Law.

Durra first started at Pentana Stanton as an intern and then following a successful internship, she joined the team at Pentana permanently and now works as a Solicitor.
Primarily working in Family Law, being a mother of three allows Durra to relate and empathise well with clients to achieve better outcomes.
Work History
Prior to commencing her career in Law, Durra worked as a Human Resources Officer which provided her with an extensive knowledge of the National Employment Standards and Fair Work Act. Furthermore, during Durra’s time in HR allowed her to refine her skills in mediation and dispute resolution.

Durra is fluent in the Arabic Language and is passionate about assisting clients who speak little English and/or are more confident in speaking in the Arabic Language.

Ben holds a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University and still feels that family law is an area of the law where a lawyer can actually do some good. He has two children of his own, being 4 and 8 years of age, and is always empathetic towards his clients no matter how difficult a situation they may find themselves in.
Ben spent some of his working life in Montreal Canada where he developed a keen interest in hiking, skiing and mountain climbing. He is fascinated with the crypto currency/blockchain space in which he has a wealth of knowledge, and which is area becoming more and more relevant in property disputes.

Being born in Pakistan Nida is multilingual, being fluent in both English and Urdu which she can also read and write proficiently.
